Getting Started

Luma is professional lighting-control software, licensed to installers, that controls holiday, sports, and everyday lighting on WLED controllers โ€” set it up once and it runs itself every night after.

๐Ÿงฉ What you need

  • A WLED controller running the Luma build (identifiable in /json/info as a Luma-x.x.x release), wired to your light strip and downlights.
  • The controller joined to your home Wi-Fi (standard WLED setup โ€” connect to the controller's own Wi-Fi network first, then point it at your home network).
  • A phone or computer on the same Wi-Fi network as the controller, with the Luma app open.

๐Ÿ“ฑ What "the app" is

Luma runs as a web app provided to licensed installers as part of onboarding, and a native consumer app is coming to the App Store and Google Play. The live preview on this site is the exact same interface, for exploring before you're set up.

๐Ÿš€ The three-step flow

  1. Connect โ€” add your controller by IP address on the WLED screen.
  2. Choose โ€” star the holiday looks and sports teams you want.
  3. Sync โ€” tap Sync schedule to controllers. From then on it plays automatically, every night, with no app needed until you want to change something.
Just browsing? Use the live preview on the homepage to click through Home, Autopilot, Sports, and Settings with no controller required. When you're ready to pair real hardware, head to Connect Your Lights.
